Cyprus has Cleanest Beaches in Europe
BRUSSELS  - Cyprus had the best quality bathing water in the Mediterranean in 2008, according to a report presented on Thursday in Brussels by Commissioner for the Environment Stavros Dimas.


According to EU data, Greece was second in the EU, followed by Spain, France and Italy.
The annual bathing water report presented by the European Commission and the European Environment Agency reveals that the large majority of bathing sites across the EU met EU hygiene standards in 2008
